Brandon bought his first investment property in 2007 and has been a full time real estate investor since 2019. Prior to that he had 15 years experience in manufacturing and owned and operated a residential and commercial painting company.
He currently lives in Avilla, IN with his wife Brandi and their three children. He got his start in real estate as a part time sales agent from 2004 to 2011, at which time he gave up his license to focus on investing in rental properties. Over the next five years he grew his portfolio from 4 residential units to 64 and still owns and manages 38 units today.
The drive to build and accomplish something bigger than he could on his own lead him to commercial real estate and to the creation of HZ Capital Partners, LLC.
Brandon Hicks
Corey and Macie Herr both grew up on family farms in Noble County, Indiana. Corey attended Tri-State University and received a B.S. in Design Engineering and Technology, and Macie attended Manchester University to receive a B.S. in Chemistry and later attended Indiana Tech and received a M.S.E in Engineering Management.
They got their start in real estate in 2018 and quickly grew their residential portfolio to 20 units across 9 properties by 2020. Through this process, they met Brandon and Logan and HZ Capital Partners, LLC was created.
Up until October of 2023, they both worked in the automotive industry in engineering capacities. Since then, Corey has left engineering to pursue real estate full time.

Logan Zuber bought his first property, a three-unit house, in 2018 and quickly realized that real estate was where he wanted to build his career. By January 2020, Logan was working in real estate full time.
Today, HZ Capital Partners is his primary focus, and he also runs a steady house-flipping business in Northeast Indiana.
Logan earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy from Indiana University Fort Wayne. He and his wife, Katie, enjoy traveling and visiting National Parks, and they welcomed their first child in September 2024.
Logan met Brandon, while trying to buy a property from him. That first conversation grew into a mentorship and partnership, which led to the founding of HZ Capital Partners.
